求助一句英语翻译

请问
‘自从我们把信寄到商业部到现在大概有三个月了。‘
这句话，是否可翻译成为：

It is a time about three months from our sending the letter to the Ministry of Commerce.

是的，应该这样翻译，但是单句可以这样，如果放在文章中，就要注意和上下文的关系，根据上下文的连贯和融合性选择翻译时态
